Paul McCartney is getting married, AGAIN
Apparently Paul McCartney won’t give up. After the last trip to the aisle cost him $50 million and failed, Paul is trying his luck again. People reports that the music legend is planning on making his third trip down the aisle, popping the question to his stunning girlfriend of four years, Nancy Shevell.
Will it work out for them? Hard to say! Although at 68, McCartney is 17 years older than his current fiancée, sources told the People that the two "have the right chemistry" and that they're "both cool, chilled out and optimistic."
That is a bit different than McCartney's drama-filled marriage to Mills, which flamed out in 2006 amid nasty allegations. Shevell is a hard working girl, employed on the board of the New York Transportation Authority.
"Nancy and Paul are getting married," the source confirmed about the duo's status. "Ring and all, very exciting."
The couple met in 2007 in the Hamptons, where McCartney owns a house. Shevell has apparently even won the approval McCartney's tough-as-nails designer daughter, Stella—something Mills could never do.
Before being married to Mills, McCartney was married to Linda McCartney who unfortunately passed away of breast cancer in 1998.
The couple was spotted together earlier this week at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute gala in New York.
"I just like being in love," he said of his budding romance with Shevell in 2008.
His fiancée even won over the kids – McCartney has five children: Heather, 48, Mary, 41, Stella, 39, James, 33, and Beatrice, 7 – and, in 2009, a source close to Stella said the fashion designer was "thrilled for her father."
